We return to our crime‑solving duo: Ana, still blindfolded and brilliant, and Din, still doing 90% of the fieldwork because Ana refuses to leave her house. This time, they’re shipped off to a seaside kingdom and naturally, a Treasury official disappears from a locked room, which is honestly just another Tuesday. Except, surprise surprise, it’s not a disappearance at all but a cleverly staged murder. There's of course a little identity theft and severed‑heads involved, just to spice things up.
The main characters are yet again fun to follow, and they've been growing along the book, making their work together more seamless and allowing Din to relax... just a little. Again, if mysteries and fantasy is your thing, I highly recommend the series
